They think that no one notices. The way they glance at each other, the way they touch longer than necessary, the way the act towards each other. They think we can't tell they're dating. Supposedly it's a secret. A secret from whom, we're not really sure, because we figured it out. I'm not quite sure why they didn't want to tell us. I'm happy for them. Almost all of us are. There's one in the group who's bitter, but she'll get over it - she always does. It's sweet how they're together. And it's kinda cute how they think we're oblivious. They're so obvious.

I'm crying crimson tears. But these tears don't flow from my eyes, but from my veins. The slow trickle of blood, as it drops and falls slowly to the floor sounds exactly the way a teardrop does as it falls from my cheeks. They look almost exactly the same as well, but for the color. And I think I love the crimson tears better. For these are the tears I can feel, the tears that let me know that I'm alive. It's almost as though these tears come straight from my soul, the way they make me feel. Some look down on me, shaking their heads and saying how horrible it is, but they don't understand. Death. So simple, and yet, so complicated. There's a bottle of sleeping pills right there. Along with at least two dozen other medicines, that, combined, would definitely cause some sort of breakdown in some vital part or other. All I would have to do is lie down and go to sleep. And never wake up again. It would be so easy. Everyone else in the house is asleep. Just a few pills, a little alcohol, maybe slit a vein or two and then… sleep. Forever. And then comes the guilt and that tiny, tiny ray of hope. The guilt - the people I would leave. The ones I would let down. The ones who believed in me. The ones who love me, as fucked up as I am.

If you were to ask most people the reason why I tried to kill myself, they most likely find someone to blame. They would blame my father for not spending enough time with me, and not realizing that I was depressed. They would blame my stepmother for upsetting my life so much and so suddenly that it just drove me over the edge. once again, i'm awake at 1:30am, because of my freaking insomnia. :hmm:  i would go take my sleeping med, but then i'd be knocked out till noon tomorrow and that wouldnt be good. i'll probly try and sleep some more later. two hours is better than none i guess. four days of teaching. four days of exams. and then summer break. thank you, every God and Goddess ever known to mankind. ugh. i should never mention to my over protective grandmother that i wana go to college "out west" (ie - California.) she kept on saying how it would be hard for me to come back and visit and all that stuff. hm well, THATS THE POINT. i wana get away from this town
